Jay Dunn is a Senior Vice President and shareholder of Alliance Real Estate. He is primarily focused on transaction sourcing, underwriting and due diligence as well as operating partner oversight and project reporting.
Prior to joining Alliance in 2020, Jay was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions team at Regions Financial where he focused on target evaluation, transaction process management and communicating key market events and trends to Regions’ senior leadership. Prior to Regions, Jay served U.S. Senator Richard Shelby of Alabama as a financial services policy advisor. He was Senator Shelby’s primary staffer during efforts to reform the secondary mortgage market and during former-Chair Janet Yellen’s nomination to lead the Federal Reserve. Additionally, Jay served as a Professional Staff Member and Staff Investigator on then-Chairman Shelby’s staff for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, where he led a team to reform the Federal Reserve and worked to re-write federal banking law.
Jay holds a MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a BS in Business Administration from Birmingham-Southern College where he was a member of the golf team.
