Scott Beach is Partner at Day Pitney, LLP. He is chair of the Corporate and Business Law department and chair of the Private Equity and Venture Capital practice group at Day Pitney. Scott represents private equity investors and emerging growth companies in formation, debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, technology arrangements, and general corporate matters. He routinely advises clients in structuring, forming and operating private investment funds, family offices, partnerships, and joint ventures. Scott counsels investment fund principals and managers, and portfolio company executives, in connection with their employment and equity compensation arrangements. Scott also advises tax-exempt organizations (including foundations, academic institutions and religious organizations) and their Boards in matters of strategic planning and corporate governance.
Scott received his Juris Doctorate with honors from George Washington University Law School in 1993. While there, he was a member of the George Washington Law Review and National Order of the Coif. In 1990, Scott has his B.A. from Emory University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
James Campisi James M. Campisi has over 35 years of experience in the fields of executive benefits, retirement services, asset management, corporate insurance, reinsurance, financial consulting and real estate. In 1984, Jim co-founded The Newport Group. Newport, along with its affiliated broker-dealer, Newport Group Securities, is a nationally recognized consulting, advisory, brokerage, retirement services and administration company. In December of 2014 Jim retired from his role as President. Newport currently has in excess of 1,000 employees who administer more than 9,000 plans with $75 billion+ of assets serving over 900,000 plan participants. Additionally, Newport administers in excess of $75 billion of corporate insurance assets. In 1988 and 1990, respectively, Jim co-founded Halcyon, a Bermuda coinsurance company and PAJJM a U.S. onshore reinsurance company. Both firms specialized in coinsuring and reinsuring corporate life insurance risks. Also in 1990, Jim partnered with a large Midwestern real estate development company. Together, over the next decade, they developed over a million square feet of Class A office space, several million square feet of bulk warehouse space and a number of single family residential developments. In 1995, Jim co-founded the Quantum Group, an Enterprise Marketing Execution printer. Quantum leverages its technology expertise to create innovative, integrated solutions to simplify the marketing execution process and allow customers to make smart strategic decisions to maximize value. Quantum is HIPAA, Soc 2 and FISMA compliant thereby providing the highest level of safeguards for private customer data. Jim is a member of the investment committee of Greenstalk Capital. He reviews, approves and co-invests in each transaction undertaken by the firm. Jim received B.A.’s in Economics and Psychology from the Honors College at Michigan State University in 1974. He also received a ChFC from The American College in 1980.
Allen Ritchie Allen Ritchie joined Altec, Inc. as its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2007. Altec is a privately held company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama and is a leading provider of products and services to the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, lights and signs, and contractor markets. Allen has broad and deep experience in manufacturing and distribution, financial services, and service technology organizations. Prior to joining Altec, Allen served as the Chief Financial Officer of Protective Life Corporation (NYSE: PL), a financial services company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. Previously, he held several executive management positions including Chief Financial Officer and President of AGCO Corporation (NYSE: AGCO), a global manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia; and was President and Chief Executive Officer of Per-Se Technologies, a publicly traded healthcare services and technology company headquartered in Atlanta. He started his career with the accounting firm Arthur Andersen, where he was a partner in the Atlanta office. Allen is active in the Birmingham community, where has served on the Board of the United Way of Central Alabama, the Board of Visitors of the School of Commerce at the University of Alabama, and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama.
Frank Schmitz Frank Schmitz is a Partner at PJT Partners and Co‐Head & Co‐Founder of Park Hill Real Estate Group. He has over twenty‐five years of experience in the real estate industry and is based in Chicago. Prior to the formation of PJT Partners, in 2005 Mr. Schmitz co‐founded Park Hill Real Estate Group, which at the time was an entity of the Blackstone Group, and served as a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone. Preceding his tenure at Park Hill Real Estate Group, Mr. Schmitz was a Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Equity at Principal Real Estate Investors. Mr. Schmitz was responsible for portfolio strategy and investment management for private and public market equity clients of Principal Real Estate Investors' $12 Billion real estate equity group. In addition, he previously served as a Director of Institutional Marketing, specializing in real estate business development for the western United States. Before joining Principal in 1992, Mr. Schmitz was with FCLS Investors Group of Chicago, a predecessor organization to CenterPoint Properties. He began his career at Northern Trust Bank of Chicago where he was a commercial real estate lending officer. Mr. Schmitz received a BA in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Visitors for the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University.
